The Keenan Ranch has 2 colts for 2025! Both sired by DREA Chewelah Celilo "Chewy", our black near leopard herd stallion. The above slideshow includes images from June and November. Our black near leopard colt, KR Nightwinds Thunder "Thunder" is out of Ochoco Midnightmagic "Magic". Thunder was born May 21, 2025. We also have a black snowcap colt, KR Sharp Dressed Man "Tuxedo" out of Ochoco Black Bonnie "Black Bonnie". Tuxedo was born on 6/1/2025. Chewy, our stallion was purchased from Decker Red Eagle Appaloosas(Oregon) as a yearling in 2011. The two mares, Magic and Bonnie, we purchased from Rafter DS Ranch(Oregon) now retired, in 2016. They are half sisters both sired by Ulrich Cheyenne. Tuxedo and Thunder are 3/4 brothers. The colts were born in a 180 acre pasture of varied terrain, including brushy creek bottoms, open meadows and hills. They remained in this pasture until weaning in early November.

KR Nightwinds Thunder(ApHC pending) is a fancy black leopard colt sired by DREA Chewelah Celilo and out of Ochoco Midnightmagic. "Thunder" was born May 21, 2025 and is 6 panel clear by his parents. Thunder is also eligible for Colorado Ranger Horse Association. We recently started the weaning process on November 9th. We plan on offering him to a new home as a yearling. Thunder is also a maternal grandson of Ulrich Cheyenne.
