The Keenan Ranch has 2 yearling colts and 1 two year old filly that will be offered summer 2026! All sired by DREA Chewelah Celilo "Chewy", our black near leopard herd stallion. The above slideshow includes images of Thunder, Tuxedo and Bridgette-UPDATED 4/24/2026. Chewy, our stallion was purchased from Decker Red Eagle Appaloosas(Oregon) as a yearling in 2011. The 2 colts and filly were born in a 180 acre pasture of varied terrain, including brushy creek bottoms, open meadows and hills. They remained in this pasture until they were weaned. All are ApHC registered and eligible for FPD(Foundation Pedigree Designation) at 100% through ApHC. Also eligible for Colorado Ranger Horse Assoc. registry. They are 6 panel clear by both dam and sire.

KR Nightwinds Thunder(ApHC # 700678) is a fancy black leopard colt sired by DREA Chewelah Celilo and out of Ochoco Midnightmagic. "Thunder" was born May 21, 2025 and is 6 panel clear by his parents. Thunder is also eligible for Colorado Ranger Horse Association. We recently started the weaning process on November 9th. We plan on offering him to a new home as a yearling. Thunder is also a maternal grandson of Ulrich Cheyenne.

We tested Tuxedo through Animal Genetics. He is 6 panel clear, LP/LP, n/PATN1, EE. Tuxedo is also eligible for Colorado Ranger Horse Association. We plan on offering him to a new home as a yearling. He shows great potential as a stallion prospect as well as ranch, trail, show. Tuxedo is also a maternal grandson of Ulrich Cheyenne.

Photo at right is Bridgette at just under a year old out in our 180 acre pasture where she grew up the first year of her life with other herd members. She is sired by DREA Chewelah Celilo and out of DREA Tobygirl Ochoco. 6 panel clear by parentage, 100 % FPD(Foundation Pedigree Designation) with ApHC and eligible for Colorado Ranger Horse Registration too..
